LEPT - London European Partnership for Transport

The London European Partnership for Transport (LEPT) is a pan-London partnership which coordinates, disseminates and promotes the sustainable transport and mobility agenda for London and London boroughs in Europe. 

The work of LEPT has three main strands:

  • Best practice personal exchange and information dissemination as a two-way process between London boroughs and European cities.
  • Increased development, participation in, and management of EU projects.  
  • Active participation in EU decision making process for transport policy and legislation LEPT is a member of ACT TRAVELWISE, EUROCITIES, POLIS (Board Member), CIVITAS and the Association of European Transport (Board Member), and has strong ties with Transport for London.

LEPT is the lead partner for the COMMERCE and PIMMS-TRANSFER European projects, and a partner in the EPOMM-PLUS project. 

COMMERCE is a three year project running from 2007 – 2010. Its aim is to increase the number and improve the quality of Mobility Plans that are developed by small and medium sized companies by providing tools and standards based on best practice across Europe. PIMMS-TRANSFER is a three year project running from 2008 to 2011. It aims to promote the exchange of good practices between regions through Pilot Projects, Study Visits, Master Classes, Regional Conferences and Mentoring Workshops.
