Description:

Whilst a number of local and regional authorities across Europe have implemented hard and soft measures to promote sustainable mobility these are often kept isloated as opposed to complementing each other in an integrated manner.  Through this project we aim to increase sustainable mobility by promoting and transferring effective Mobility Management techniques to regional and local decision makers.

PIMMS TRANSFER brings together 15 partners from across the EU (between 2008 and 2011), embedding Mobility Management regionally through the following international measures:

  • a Mobility Management best practice database to facilitate the transfer of knowhow
  • stakeholder study visits for officers, politicians and schools
  • a major review of Sustainable Urban Transport Plans in all 27 Member States
  • regional, thematic and school conferences
  • mentoring workshops
  • master class courses
  • European Mobility events in 14 regions
  • 1 EMW DVD and best practice guide
  • 14 innovative pilot projects

On this group site members will find information about the measures listed above already implemented and updates on progress so far in the project.
