The Mayhew Animal Home is a registered charity and is located in Kensal Green, London NW10 6BJ. This is an extremely busy location within a high density residential area.The home employs approximately 27 full time staff on site, with a varying number of volunteers who work evenings and weekends. There are always 2 staff members’ onsite overnight. Approximately 300 members of the general public visit the animal home on a weekly basis. There is no off-street parking for the home, and a Controlle Parking Zone restricts both the Home’s and visitor parking in the immediate area. The Travel Plan was completed in March 2006. At that time the mode split amongst the 27 staff was Cycling 10%, Drive Alone 30%, Public Transport 60%. Whilst this is significantly better than the national average, those driving into the area have to park locally on street. This is an English language example.
