Karlstad university in Sweden had too many students, teachers and other staff commuting by car. The EU-project MOST within the 5th framework programme for research and development was used as a platform for developing new approaches to tackle the commuting problems. The main aim was to create conditions for students, teachers and other university staff that would enable them to commute without being dependant on private cars. This is an English language example
