How can we move in any city in the world more sustainable form? ie, with less impact social, environmental and economic?

Is it possible?

Eco Mobility Tour  Project wants to answer this question.

Cities

The project aims to provide cities a way to disclose specific plans for a particular event or sustainable ways for the displacement of its citizens and tourists:

London 2012 Olympics
Brazil World Cup 2014
Rio de Jan. 2016 Olympics
And thousands of other mega events happening around the world.
How best to travel to visit a museum, go to a restaurant?
What better way to go to work every day?

Citizens and Tourists
May consult more sustainable forms of displacements in any city in the world. Consult the price of a taxi Stambul or Lima in Peru, knowing the public bicycle programs in Santiago, Chile and Paris, check the security of certain locations via messages from other users, find a ride. Share a taxi or rental car.

EcoMobility Tour is an aggregator of information on mobility over time users will have a huge database of information to effect their displacement in a safe and sustainable. Cities can improve their transport systems and signs for tourists.

Context of cities

The cities did not arise just by repeating clusters, but the features that each one was able to create. A city is a social, political, economic and environmental, rich in personal relationships and institutional proximity of dense and intense, it is their individual character that provides the creation of densities, so a city is more than an agglomeration. The economic and social development today is focused, but also is polycentric: hence the importance of open cities in the network in the world today.

The network relations with other cities expressed the importance of connectivity in the urban setting more advanced.
Cities are places of intense reception of Mobility (visitors) and interactions of its population (which lives in an intense closeness).
The public space enables the creation of popular culture and enables the co-presence of people and institutions and accelerates the interactions.
Where services have become the major source of innovation and societies are outsourced, the economic importance of cities have become huge. The city is no longer just the urban center to be a center of human relations and social  urban mobility .

A city with traffic and congestion is a sick city, which failed to plan for the future and the most vital needs of its population. A city that does not allow the free flow of people in an organized, comfortable and simple is doomed to backwardness.

Eco-Mobility Tour

This is a co-participatory project that is being created to facilitate the mobility of millions of travelers throughout the world. The project is being developed by Green Mobility Study, but we're calling on universities, cities and consultants to be part of this project worldwide.
Any city can participate by sending information about their systems of mobility, modal integration, integrated ticketing and facilities for citizens and tourists. Right now we are cataloging systems Mobility and cities that would like to participate in this first test.

The idea and having the site up and running in January 2012.

Eco Mobility Tour Project

The proposed eco-Mobility Tour is to provide the traveler (internal and external) information about Sustainable Urban Mobility in cities around the world.
Through a multi-lingual platform will integrate Flights Possible, plan an overland journey in Santiago, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Beijing, Singapore, Berlin, New York, Munich, Paris or Barcelona.
How much is a taxi fare in Brazil? How much is a taxi fare in Seattle? How to rent a bike? How to find a ride? How to split a cab? What is the cheapest way to make a trip around the city? What is the most sustainable way?

It is better to rent a car? Or be part of a system of car-sharing? For a tourist on the best ticket for travel on Berlin? Where are the points of car-sharing and eco-bike in Mexico City?

How to get the best from each city through their systems cyclo-road, road, rail and subway? How to get Ticket? Understanding the mobility systems of cities? What are the solutions to the population of cities and tourism?

A city is one that provides intense public spaces and urban mobility for citizens and visitors.
