Since 1st July, 2010 small and medium businesses (SMBs) in the Netherlands can apply for free mobility management advice and support. The Dutch Ministry of Transport has allocated € 3 million to help companies develop a ‘smarter mobility approach’.
SMB’s with 25 to 250 employees can initially apply for funding to the value of €1500 to allow them to pay a mobility-consultant to perform a ‘mobility scan’. Depending on the results of the scan, companies are eligible to receive a further grant to hire a specialist to develop and implement a mobility plan. However, one third of the consultancy costs however must be paid by the company itself and the maximum amount of the subsidy is €4500.
The subsidy scheme will be operational until 30th June 2011. Each SMB can only apply for one voucher for a mobility scan and one voucher for advice and implementation.
